Logistics Service Private DTDC is investing Rs. 400-500 crores in business and is planning for expansion in the next 3-5 years. Currently, it delivers posts and couriers to 12,800 pin code areas across the country. It is planning to increase its serviceable area to 18,500 pin code areas by 2022. In the current financial year, DTDC will expand its services to 300 villages. You can also start your business by obtaining DTDC franchise or grow your existing courier business with it.

According to the company’s executive director, Abhishek Chakraborty, the company is preparing to open more outlets as per the expansion plan. Notably, DTDC franchise can be bought in the A, B, and C category cities in the country. No fee will be charged for the franchise but only for setup.
Investment for Setup
- For DTDC franchise, Rs 1.5 lakh will be invested in A category cities.
- 1 lakh will be invested in the B category cities.
- Investment of Rs. 50,000 for C category cities.
Requirement for Setup
- The office should be on the ground floor.
- For a franchise in A category city, there should be at least four employees.
- There should be at least three employees in an office in B category city.
- There should be at least two employees in a franchise in C category city.
Royalty Fees
- Ten percent of the turnover will be given to the franchise as royalty fees.
