Creating a New Profile:
How Do I Add a New Animation? - posted in New Vegas Mod Talk: Hello Nexus, Ive got a question that Ive been thus far unable to resolve myself and is rather vague in other venues. Im modeling a custom M4 rifle, its going to be all wastelanded in appearance with plenty of duct tape and cloth. Im even making a high poly model for a normal map bake! However I noticed that the vanilla reload. Nov 06, 2020 Compared to my other mod, this one only contains the animation part for food, drink and chems with new animations in 1st POV (only when standing, or also when sitting but you need enhanced camera mod). So no Empty Things module, no Bottled Water module, no Animated Ingestibles for NPC. Everything is configurable via the MCM.
In order to keep a full installation of just the Core module handy, we will create a copy of the profile:
- Click the button on the top bar of MO2
- Click on the Viva New Vegas - Core profile and select Copy
- Input Viva New Vegas - Visuals for the new name then click OK
- Select the Viva New Vegas - Visuals profile from the profile drop-down
Creating a Separator in Mod Organizer 2
- Right-click in the left pane of MO2 and select All Mods -> Create Separator
- Input Visuals into the pop-up and select OK
- Create another separator below that called Textures + Models + Animations
Clutter and Small Objects:
MGs Neat Clutter Retextures
Files to install normally:
- Main File - MGs NCR Pack 7

Terrain and Major Objects:
NMC's Texture Pack
Files to install normally:
- Main File - NMCs Textures NV SMALL Pack SINGLE FILE FOR NMM
- Update File - NMC New Vegas Patch for ALL Sized packs
NOTE: The reason the guide uses the small version of the NMCs is that it has the best visual fidelity/performance ratio of any of the options. The large option has the exact same texture sizes as the medium pack, but just with higher resolution normal maps. This has a massive performance decrease for a hardly noticeable visual increase, as well as unavoidable stuttering and crashing. The medium option's LOD texture sizes are also too big, meaning FNVLODGen can't handle them properly. This results in entire missing chunks of LOD. It is HIGHLY recommended to just follow the guide and use the small option

- textures/architecture/helios_one/solar_reflector.dds
- textures/architecture/helios_one/solar_reflector_m.dds
